Professor Nasrullah Moin, nicknamed Moin al-Katab, was one of the experts in ancient calligraphy and prominent calligraphers of the Isfahan school, who passed away on the 3rd of Mehr of this month, at the same time as his birthday, at the age of 75. Professor Moin Al Kitab was born in 1313 in Isfahan and with 65 years of experience in the art of calligraphy, he was also one of the founders, professors and great advisors of the calligraphers’ association and a student of Kaveh and Zarin Khat. Among the notable works of the master of Moin al-Katab, one can mention the calligraphy of one of the entrance doors of the shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.), the tombstone of Rudaki in Tajikistan, one of the inscriptions of the shrine of Hazrat Zainab (pbuh) in Syria, etc. Many calligraphers have had the honor of being a student of Master Moin, among whom we can mention Master Karamali Shirazi.
To visit the exhibition of the works of Moin al-Katab, those interested can go to Naqsh Khana of the art district of Isfahan province, located on Amadgah Street, in front of Abbasi Hotel, on the ground floor from Thursday, November 7th to Tuesday, November 19th.
